My entry for the Tumbleton Blind Date Challenge:
I rolled Jerry James Joseph and Douglas Fir. Obviously their relationship got started as a steamy below-stairs romance in one of Tumbleton’s manor homes - skiving off work to make-out behind rose bushes and in the kitchen pantry. Very romantic.
And somehow they ended up married with three kids: Ambrose, Melanie, and my personal favorite, the adorable Evelyn.
I fell in love with Simgaroop’s creations - especially since their maxis match hairs often have a light brown option! I recently got mediafire pro and batch downloaded everything, and since I know how much of a pain downloading over 400 files manually with captchas can be, with their permission I uploaded all of Simgaroop’s creations onto my file server.
I have a mess in my Mediafire folder, so several of my newer hairs (mostly from TBTO and Secret Santa events) were not properly archived and thus are not included in this file.
So, I just uploaded them for you :) (Yay Insomnia!)

I rolled some sims for the Tumbleton Blind Date Challenge and got Jerry James Joseph by goldpandaah. Lucky me that he’s absolutely gorgeous! I be he’ll make super cute babies. I forgot to take a picture of his wife. I’ll do that tomorrow. :3

Tumbleton Blind Date Challenge!
They are two very different looking Sims and I was wondering if their children would come out looking odd. But they are actually quite nice. From left to right, their names are Niamh, Roisin and Kian.
I chose Roisin as my winner. I think she is fun and querky.
I was inspired by all the entries into the Sims Community Project’s Blind Date Challenge to have a turn myself!
Their three children are Charles, Rochelle and Devon. Looks like Susann’s genes are pretty strong! I think Rochelle is my favourite. :D
Not sure if this is needed, but I thought I’d still share this!
A while ago, (like last year) my computer updated Windows 7, and afterwards all my sims had a weird black, opaque rectangle under their feet.
I managed to search the problem, and found that due to the Sims 2 now being unsupported, there are only temporary solutions.
The one that has worked for me is turning down my “Shadows” to medium. Unfortunately, you don’t get the highest amount, but at least you don’t have black rectangles!
There is a very helpful thread at leefish.nl, here, with information about and fixes for this and other graphics problems (such as not getting smooth edges or a resolution above 800*600 because your graphics card isn’t recognised) that are not just “temporary solutions”. Just FYI. :)
*saves for later reading*
Thanks! I too have the “black rug” problem and I think my Shadows setting is already set to Medium.
Another way of getting around it is to set simShadows to false in your graphics rules.sgr - that turns off the shadows for Sims (but only for Sims, not for objects) completely. The thread I linked to explains how - and I know Kiri, the author, is happy to help if needed. She’s saved the sanity of many a leefisher that way. :)
Oh! I might have to try that, I miss my pretty shadows, but I couldn’t roll back my drivers because other games do need them to be updated. This is perfect :D
Maybe this will be useful in the future…
